Graphic art took centre stage at Equinox on Mar. 13 with the opening of Triste Tropik, an exhibition featuring art by El Boixo. The Sihanoukville-based French-Spanish artist showcased his verging on cynical view on life in the Bodge, including a series of paintings entitled Sihanouk Vice, through artworks the kind of which are seldom seen in the Kingdom. Though most of the pieces were pre-hung around the popular bar and restaurant, the creative El Boixo also took to his art in real-time, spray-painting the walls of Equinox with some of his signature characters.
